.

We had a chance to get to know the things that make this artist
so amazing at what he does with an interview.
Freezy is one talented soul and his music truly shows
that.
Take a minute to read about his life with music and the reasons
behind his persistence at his dreams.

Tell us a brief bio about yourself & your music.
I’m just an average twenty-three year old with a passion for listening to and
making meaningful music, and meeting new people. This passion goes back
as far as I can remember, but my public music career is still relatively new.
I’ve been seriously pursuing this for a little over three years now, on the side
of finishing college and working full-time in the corporate world, and have
accomplished more in that time than I would have ever imagined myself doing.
It’s amazing how much I surprise myself every time I finish a new song.

What inspired you to become an artist?
It was more of a craving for competition than inspiration that got me so involved
with the “career” side. Just like with anything else, there is a hierarchy in music,
and I feed off the idea of moving up in the ranks. Success is also what YOU
make of it – what I see as success isn’t going to be the same for the person next
to me. So in that sense, I’ve already reached a level of success by completing
an actual mixtape and not only getting my name on the grid, but also gaining an
appreciation and acceptance from my followers and peers.

What goals do you have for your music career?
My biggest goal is to look back 15-20 years from now and to be satisfied with
all I’ve done. Going back to what I said about success, each person views it
differently, and at the end of the day, I want to feel successful. As someone
who’s constantly growing and evolving, I can’t single out anything specific
because how I feel and look at things is going to be different a year from now.
Generally, I will have achieved all of my goals as long as I continue to grow my
following and fans, inspire others the ways other artists have inspired me, and
strive to be and do the best I can be. In my eyes, to have accomplished these
things, I will be successful, and that is the ultimate goal.

If you could work with someone famous in the industry, who would it be and why?
One of my biggest influences is J. Cole. He is someone who never ceases to
amaze me through his work ethic, grind, and his ‘never give up’ mentality. I feel/
see the effect his music has on me and other people, and it makes me want to
touch people the same way. He’s really the only artist I can think of that makes
me reconsider my lyrics to ensure I’ve put my all into them. To work with J. Cole
on a project would be a dream come true.

What projects are you currently working on?
So far, I’ve successfully completed 3 mixtapes – Always Elevate, Getting From
A 2 B, and Always Elevate 2. My current project ‘Cypher Sessions’ in the
wrapping-up phase, so that should be coming out soon. I’ve really taken my
music to a new level and I’m confident it will show in this project. Aside from
that, I have a few music videos in the works along with constantly networking and
promoting to get my name out there.

What are your top 3 songs?
My top 3 songs so far are Dream Girl, Don’t Sweat It, and Infinity. Each of these
songs came together nicely and really reflected where I was at (musically and
mentally) when I made them. They pushed me in their own separate way, and
forced me to take it to the next level in order to get the sound I was looking for.

Besides this talent, what do you do for fun?
any hobbies?
I just started making beats, so right now that attracts a majority of my attention,
but other than that, I live a busy life. I work full time, on top of finishing my
education and juggling a relationship, and I still have to find time for myself.
Music is really my get away from the every-day hassles.

In conclusion, what do you want
people to know most about you?
I want people to know that I am someone who has a dream and isn’t afraid to
chase it. I’ve reach heights I never thought possible, and met people I never
thought I’d get the chance to meet, all because I took that first step. Of course
I’ve failed along the way, but that’s what makes success what it is. You learn
and you grow from your past experiences, and I’m someone who will continue to
do that as long as I’m here.
